July Newsletter

Happy Independence Day! We hope you enjoyed your Fourth of July festivities and time with family and friends.

July at the studio will, once again, be a month of transition. Nicole will be returning to teach group classes starting next week. Once Lindsay has her baby, Nicole will teach all classes and plans to slowly integrate private instruction into her schedule. Nicole will be in touch with her students to begin scheduling lessons within the next few weeks. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we shift schedules at the studio in order to accommodate our shifting lives at home! As always, we will do our best to make sure our students’ needs are met, and we thank you for all of your support and encouragement.

Congratulations to our amazing student, Claudia Ciano-Boyce, for completing her first triathalon. She sent us this letter of thanks, and we thought it would be great to share:

“Hi Nicole,
Since you saw me through the entire goal of my first triathalon at 60 years old, I wanted to tell you how much I have appreciated your help. You helped me get to a place where I could imagine training for it and designed a program to foster my strengths and address my needs and weaknesses. I was ready, as ready as I could be, in this much time and my overall fitness was great. I haven't even been sore this week! I have much to learn about doing triathalons (planning on another one or two this summer!) but I'm on my way!”

Claudia, we think you are incredible! We love your determination and spunk, and we’re so honored to be the ones helping you achieve your goals!

Summer Schedule:
We are not anticipating closing for any length of time this summer, but may condense classes in instances of sparse attendance. If you are planning to be out of town in July and August, please let us know so we can take that into account while we transition our schedules.

Post-Partum Class Series:
We have had requests for a class specifically for the post-partum Mama. Beginning Saturday mornings in early September and running for six weeks, Nicole will be teaching an hour-long class that addresses the needs of a post-partum body. The class will be open to women who have birthed (vaginally or c-section) within the last 12 months, and will focus on re-stabilizing the pelvis, releasing neck and back tension from nursing/carrying babies, and gently strengthening the core muscles from the deepest to the most superficial, all of which will lead to happier, healthier Mommies! After each class, Nicole will take interested students onto the rail trail for a brisk 30-minute walk to focus on posture and alignment, either while baby-wearing, stroller-pushing, or walking without your babe. Babies up to the crawling stage are welcome, or Moms can come alone and treat themselves to an hour and a half workout!

If you are interested or know anyone who would like to sign up, please share and contact us at info@renewpilates.com . Pre-registration is required and you must have your physician’s consent to begin exercise.

Enjoy your summer, and see you at the studio,
Nicole & Lindsay
